For this first time, after 10 years as a member of the Race Committee, I get to be a participant in the 2023 Travis Manion Foundation Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run!! I continue to stay involved and find ways to support the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) - a military support organization that empowers our nation's veterans and families of the fallen to develop character in future generations and therefore help create thriving communities. Named after 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Al Anbar province of Iraq on April 29th, 2007, the Foundation is committed to honoring our nation's fallen heroes.

As "The Voice of Navy Wrestling," I have been a part of TMF since before this story had to be told, having announced Travis during his entire competitive career at the Naval Academy. To honor Travis, his fallen roommate, Brendan Looney, and fellow fallen Navy Wrestler Doug Zembiec, I am rucking this year's event.
