Dear Family & Friends,
I am once again honored to serve as the Race Director for the Travis Manion Foundation's (TMF) Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run and have the priviledge of leading a highly committed team to put on an event for the Annapolis community that, at its heart, is about honoring and remembering.
This year's Run holds added significance as we mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11. In particular, our Run this year is dedicated to the 14 USNA graduates who perished on that fateful day; from the World Trade Center Towers to the Pentagon, to a field in PA and on the planes themselves. They ranged from the Classes of 1952 to 1998; Lieutenants to Rear Admirals; some still serving and others retired who continued to make contributions to the nation they once served in uniform.
Your donation will help support the programs of Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) - a military support organization that empowers our nation's veterans and families of the fallen to develop character in future generations and create thriving communities as a result. Named after 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Al Anbar province of Iraq on April 29th, 2007, TMF is committed to honoring our nation's fallen heroes.
I am swinging for the fences in my fundraising goal this year. In honor of this being the 20th anniversary of 9/11, I am hoping to raise $2,000. Even a small donation will help get me there! The process is fast, easy, and secure. If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter!
Thanks so much in advance for your generosity and please consider participating yourself at our race here in Annapolis, at a race location near you, or as a virtual participant by registering to RUN. WALK. RUCK. VOLUNTEER. DONATE. CHEER...but most of all: HONOR
